The offer in the area of beekeeping tourism in Slovenia is supplemented by the book The Honey Book. The culinary guide provides 25 recipes of honey dishes from various chefs. With the desire to combine our rich beekeeping tradition with contemporary Slovenian The Žirovnica Institute for Tourism and Culture published the culinary guide – The Honey Book. The manual Is a reminder of the lives of our ancestors who breathed nature, respected and nurtured it, while also reminding us of the problems of today's modern way of life. The recipes were collected and edited by Kaja Pogačar. According to the author, the culinary guide combines the Slovenian beekeeping tradition with contemporary Slovenian cuisine, and the recipes presented are useful and creative. They were contributed by fameous Slovenian Chefs - Bine Volčič, Uroš Štefelin, Igor Jagodic, Gašper Kordež etc.
The recipes are accompanied by photographs by Kaja Pogačar and the Chefs' reflections on the importance of honey in cuisine. Andreja Kandolf Borovšek writes more about the properties of honey in a separate chapter. Special by Damjana Cvetko are dedicated chapters to the beekeeping heritage in Slovenia and the greatest slovenian beekeeper Anton Janša.
